MNUDL AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellow Role: Apply by July 16
Are you passionate about empowering Twin Cities youth? Make a lasting impact on communities by addressing education-related challenges as a Groundwork Fellow. AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellows serve in nonprofit organizations and government agencies across the state. In the AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellow role at the MNUDL, you’ll be working shoulder to shoulder with other people who share your commitment to young people while developing as a professional.
- Benefits: Health and dental insurance, qualified student loan forbearance, qualified child care assistance, AmeriCoach life coach, TAP transportation card, support applying for SNAP benefits.
- Stipend: The AmeriCorps Living Stipend is is $1,236 twice per month, and the AmeriCorps Education Award of up to $5,176 is available upon successful completion of service. This award can be used toward federally qualifying student loans or future qualified post-secondary education.
- Schools of National Service: Several colleges and universities offer scholarships, application fee waivers, and other benefits for AmeriCorps alums, including Augsburg University, Macalester College, University of St. Thomas, Metropolitan State University, and the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
- Training: Effective leadership skill development including public speaking and facilitation, resource mapping, inclusive spaces and language, and other relevant topics, including professional goal setting.
