Roseville Rosebowl Results 2024
Thank you to all who joined us for a ghoulishly good time at our Halloween-themed Rosebowl Tournament this past weekend! Special thanks to Roseville High School for hosting.
MNUDL teams had an excellent performance, winning 16 bowling pins and 55 top-5 places across our two days and 4 divisions. There’s more to the Rosebowl than just compentitive performance. With a photo booth, candy and fierce costume contest, there was plenty of fun to be had!
Students brought their best creative ideas and festive costumes to compete for additional fun awards – the Brian Plunkett Creative Argument Award and our Best Individual and Team Costume prizes. And of course, debaters competed for partnership and individual speaker awards like usual. Keep reading to learn who went home with our coveted bowling pin trophies!
This year’s beautiful pins were decorated by MNUDL staff and several groups of volunteers!
Eagan’s Skye Hoover and Madeline Risk won the Brian Plunkett Creative Argument Award, presented by the Plunkett Family.
Our individual costume contest had a clear winner this year. Not only did they have an incredible Bill Cipher costume, they wore it all day.
The team costume contest had some tough competition this year, with Highland Park dressed as cowboys, Central as Pirates of the Caribbean, Johnson as our evidence packet and Tartan as a squad of Minions. Washburn High School won the bowling pin with their incredible Domino’s Pizza costume.
The Rosebowl took place over two days: a virtual evening (Friday) and in-person (Saturday). Team awards are given to the two-person partnerships who have the strongest win/loss records. Speaker awards are given to the students who earn the most individual speaker points for their argumentation and public speaking skills. Find the team and speaker awards below!
