Current Franklin Middle School coach, Flory Sommers, has been coaching for the Minnesota Urban Debate League for more than 15 years. In that time, she’s covered middle school debate, Spanish Debate, and East African Debate! We know Flory is pretty awesome, so we love to see her getting recognition!
Minneapolis School Voices debuted its Educator Spotlight Series with a spotlight on Flory. She’s had a storied career over her 41 years teaching. The series spotlights Flory’s motivation to teach, her longtime work at Minneapolis Public Schools, and who inspires her.
