MNUDL Students Reach Semifinals at MSHSL State Tournament

As we wrap up another successful debate season, we are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the teams at last weekend’s Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) State Tournament! This year’s tournament marks the 124th edition and continues to uphold its reputation as the longest-running event in MSHSL history.

Miller & Clark from Central High School:

Reached the semifinals, showcasing exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition.

Minneapolis South Burgess and Winters:

Made it to the semifinals in a highly competitive round, closing out their seniors season in Minnesota.

Achieved an impressive run by making it to the quarterfinals, demonstrating great talent in their debate skills.

James & Howes from Tartan High School secured 3 wins in the preliminary rounds. Despite not advancing to the quarterfinals, their performance was commendable, showcasing resilience and skill against strong competitors. Their hard work indicates a promising comeback next season.

Nervig and McQuillen from Roosevelt High School achieved an impressive three victories in the preliminary rounds. Additionally, the duo of Romano and Young also shined, securing two wins in the prelims. This commendable performance highlights the strong teamwork and skill of the Roosevelt High School participants.
